Our family sponsors a Compassion child in Ecuador. (Our church home is in partnership with the Compassion program our little friend is apart of. We hope to visit one day!) She's a bright and sweet-as-can-be nine year old little girl, the same age as our girl. When she writes to us, she always tells us how grateful she is of our sponsorship. She never forgets...and she ends each letter with a beautiful colored pencil drawing. It warms our hearts. We enjoy writing to her and sending extra little gifts such as notebooks, stickers and puzzles, too. She has our heart.
|The day we toured Change the Story: The Compassion Experience and found our new friend!|
Compassion bloggers are on the ground in Nicaragua and posts are beginning to pour in. I encourage you to take time to read about their incredible experiences.
Read and be moved as Brianne, Traci, Edie, Kelly, Shaun, Christy, Mike and Keely bring Nicaragua's story in pictures and words to us....
If you'd like to help, consider praying for everyone involved with this trip, their safety and health. And so importantly for the children and their families, that their hearts will be open to the love of Jesus. If it's on your heart consider sponsorship, too. I promise it's a decision you'll never regret.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
