Our Week in Pictures

A few highlights of our week in collage...my first collage, mind you...I'm linking up with Homegrown Learners Collage Friday, another first...

1. We began 'rowing' (Five in a Row Vol. 1) Storm in the Night.  One fun art activity involved acrylics and mixing one shade of blue with varying amounts of white to achieve  new shades. We also learned to use white to represent rain and lightening! Now that's FUN!! Our big girl is opposite our big guy. Just couldn't get all three in the photo.

2. Spent a couple of hours on  (and off, as the case may be) an interesting boardwalk trail. It winds through a marshy area and is always fun to explore. Lots of wildlife around.

3. A family bike ride! All five of us! Tonight we set a family record! In seven miles (just over a 10K)  we stopped once to hydrate. NEVER because someone needed a quick rest!!

4. An array of chocolate chip cookies. - Making multiplication patterns FUN (An idea inspired from the book Math for the Very Young.)

5. Our first introduction to Venn Diagrams. We LOVE Saxon Math!

    1. Hehehe...I was wondering how long it would take you to notice I linked up!! You know I've been thinking about it for quite some time now. In fact, you were my encourager. I LOVE taking pictures and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to 'journal' some aspects of our life =)
Thanks for getting us started with Five in a Row, too. It's FUN! And most importantly, for being a sweet friend!

    1. Yay! I'm so glad! We LOVE our family rides. I hope the weather clears up soon for you. I wouldn't trade this time for anything in the world. My husband and I were talking on the way home. We were wondering when our little ones are teenagers will they still want to ride as a family?! We certainly hope so. But, regardless we are trying to soak up every sweet moment we can!
