Never Give Up, Even after a Crash

Last night, as a super big reward for a super big achievement, J got to help take something very special out of its box. (I love his little expression in the top right photo.)  Our little guy has had his eye on this bike for months!

Once the folks at TREK finished assembling his bike, we took off to the golf cart path and boy did he ever do great! Kept to the right, stood up to pedal hills, dodged carts, and joggers and dogs...and then, he tried going down a super big hill. About half way down his feet tangled in the pedals and he crashed hard into the pavement. Poor little thing. Hindsight, I should've walked our brave boy down that hill...Thankfully, he's not hurt seriously. But, Mommy and Daddy's hearts sure were!

Daddy tied J's new bike to the back of the Chariot. J took his regular position in the Chariot, but this time with a bump, an icepack (I keep a first aid kit in the Chariot.) and gummy fruits given to each of the kids by the super sweet person living in the house J crashed in front of...

Once back home, J hopped back on his bike and give it good spin. I love his NEVER GIVE UP attitude!

    1. He's my daredevil. That kid has little fear which makes my job of keeping him safe, yet letting him spread his wings super hard...
